Merry Christmas all of you good Rivers alumni (especially from the 2/92). I spent Christmas on Rivers in '86 and '88. I was home on leave in '87. The food was pretty good in the mess hall during the holidays. God bless us every one!

THE THANKS BELONGS TO YOU. IF YOU DIDN'T MAINTAIN THE SITE WE COULDN'T SUPPORT IT. UNFORTUNATELY A LOT OF GUYS VISIT AND DON'T REGISTER OR THEY REGISTER AND DON'T STAY ACTIVE. IT'S A BAD DEAL EITHER WAY, THERE IS A WORLD OF HISTORY AND OTHER INFO TO BE SHARED. MAYBE WHEN A FEW MORE OF THEM GET TO RETIREMENT AGE THEY WILL HAVE MORE TIME FOR THIS, I JUST TURNED 60 AND I KEEP THAT OLD ROCKIN' CHAIR AND THE COMPUTER BOTH SMOKIN'.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE SITE

Hey rick, do you remember those buildings behind the bn. hq building ? I went into one back in 84 or 85 and went down 1 flight of stairs to where the water level was. I was told there were 13 or 14 more levels that were under the water. any truth to this? Dave

DAVE,
AS I REMEMBER IT WAS ALWAYS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO STAY AWAY FROM THOSE BUILDINGS WHEN I WAS THERE. I THINK THEY KEPT SOME FLUNKIE WATCHING OUT THE BACK WINDOW OF HEADQUARTERS JUST TO MAKE SURE. IF YOU GO TO THE "RIVERS BARRACKS" POST ON THIS SITE AND THEN TO "SOME HISTORY" THERE IS A DESCRIPTION OF THE USE OF THE BUILDINGS AND PICTURES. THE RUMOR WAS IN CIRCULATION ABOUT THE MANY LEVELS BELOW GROUND BACK THEN BUT NO ONE I KNOW OF EVER PURSUED IT.
