Man, I go to this site every chance I get to see if anyone has written anything. I find it hard to believe that we are it! The only other site I"ve found is Mil.com. Don"t tell me there aren"t any more people out there from the ZOO. By the way, got the joke the other day, funny. I"ve got one for you. What do you call 2 blondes whispering in each others ears? DATA TRANSFER. Later, Hartman

Nope, y'all ain't the only ones. Just been a while since I posted. I was at the Zoo from 81-83, C2/92. SFC Wimp was the Mess Sgt then, and I hung out with the likes of SP4 Lothar McKellar. If you have any Zoo pics, would really appreciate them, as all mine have been lost in the several moves since then. I used to DJ at the MOT Club, and later the Hard Rock Haarlem, Scarabee, and the New Rock in Londorf. Had several friends riding in the Nomads Motorcycles Club and Pegasus MC, and became a member of the Old Germans MC out of Wetzlar. Had a few little "romantic interludes" with the frauleins at Swan Lake, and just remember Giessen and my time there fondly. psychojoe_bfc@yahoo.com

Just looking through the below posts, man the memories come rushing back. I see James Morris went to the Tina Truner show - I was there man with our BTRY cook, can't remember his name, white guy, blond hair surfer dude from Nor Cal - that was a blast. It rained all day - once the guys had enough standing in the rain we started a slip - n - slide thou the mud right down the middle of the field to the stage.
good times...

Got to 2/92 in Jan 1978 was in Service Battery for 2 years 3 months and 9 days. transfered to 588 th Maint. Wroked in Bn Maint. Sfc Reed was my section chief. Sgt Mgr English was there then left. Sgt Mgr Roberts took his place. Don't recall the comanders name. Dean Dazel?? Cpt. Ralph Dickens was our Battery Comander. I was the welder in the motor pool. I recall SSt Fozard was motor Sgt of a battery, Sanders in C and I can't remember the MTR. Sgt in B battery. I bought SFC Reeds' old red Chevelle SS when he bought the Camero. Maybe some of you remember my car if not me. I was in Giessen for 3 years and 7 months. Hated the place when I got there. Cried when I had to leave in Aug. 81.

I was in C/2nd92 from 1971 to 1973 in FDC. Seems like a lifetime away but I remember it like it was yesterday. They were always taking people out of the Unit and sending them to Viet Nam. I was lucky? Just went to the Rendezvous Club. Ah...the good old days. Don't know what happened to SGT Reed but I do remember his Chevy. He was a good guy. A David Saywer was in my unit. Anyone know what happened to him?? When I got out I opened up a Private Investigation company, Trailblazer Investigations Inc. If anyone from the good old days ever needs something just let me know. You can contact me at rgbpi@optonline.net. All of you be well and safe!! Rich
