Hey Matthes, I was at Rivers ,84-87 and I went down one level of stairs in the bldg. behind the hq bldg. I don't remember the bldg. number . I remember it was behind the movie theater. Let us know if it ever was pumped out. I was told there were 13 or 14 floors down below. I'm kind of curious of what was down there, if anything at all. We were all told it was a automatic art.15 if we were caught messing around that bldg. thanks,Hartman

Hey Matthes, Happy b-day, Tell me ,what was the name of that greek restaurant down town. I remember eating those gyros with the zaziki sauce. You can't get food like that over here.I remember ordering a Nikos teller. They had legs of lamb meat on a rotisserie that would rotate vertically. When you told them you wanted a gyro, they would cut the meat off the sides while it was turning. Man I miss those days! Later, Hartman

The Greek place downtown was called Pita Gyros. Man were they good!
It's sad to hear of what Rivers has became. I was in C Btry 2/92 & later 4/7 from 10/85 - 6/89.

JAMES,
IT YOU SEND ME SOMETHING AND I DON'T REPLY TRY MY SECONDARY EMAIL ADDRESS, jreindeere@yahoo.com, SOMETIMES MY NETWITZ ADDRESS DOESN'T DO IT'S THING, IT'S A BIT "OVERSECURED" AND TENDS TO BLOCK THE GOOD STUFF FROM TIME TO TIME

I recently saw a picture of what looked a chapel on rivers. I remember the rendevouz, the gym, the snack bar, the movie theater and the bowling alley. Where was the chapel ? Around the quad were 3/79th,2/92nd, Bn HQ's building,5/3rd, Mess hall,Gym ,snack bar,Rendevouz club and theater. In front of 2/92 and 3/79th there were 2 towed howitzer and over by the flag pole was a pak 75. I was in 5/3rd so when we went to the motor pool we either walked past the rendevouz or went through 3/79th motor pool to get to ours. I remember 2/92nd motor pool was next to ours and was separated by a chain link fence. This was in 84-87.Thanks Hartman
