I was in C Btry 2ndBn 92FA 8" Guns FDC between 1971 to 1973. Anybody else around? I remember a David Sawyer from Mobile. Ed Walker from the mid west...he had a handlebar mustache. There was also a guy from upstate NY in the unit. Like to hear from some of the unit. Cpt Barker or Baker I think was the CO. 1st SGT Ash was there at the time.....the rest is a little foggy...too many Heylanders at Rivers.

My real name is Kermit but everybody called me Pete. I was in Headquarters Battery and worked in Battalion S-3 for Major Donald Smith. I was there from April 1971 to March 1972. I had just completed an 11-month tour in Vietnam. I received an overseas-discharge and traveled around Europe for three months. I also remember a SFC McCrossin, a young man from New York named David (?) Merritt, a CPT Monko. The Battalion CO was LTC Finchum. There were 2 others in S-3 who left a few months after I arrived. I don't remember their first names but they were named Swanson and Cornstuble. They were discharged while in Germany and also traveled around

I was stationed in B battery 2/92nd. March 73 to March 74. Track mechanic. Wonder what happened to Dean Brown, Tom Gibbons, Smitty, Goulf and Hansen. Capt Monko was my CO. Think he got rifted.

HHB 2nd Bn 92nd FA 1976 to 1979. S3. Gofer. Intelligence Specialist. Driver. S2 clerk.
Some crazy bastard tried to hang himself back in 1978 or so by tying a sheet around his neck and jumping out the 3rd floor window.
Luck was with him that night because not only did he jump on the grassy side, he forgot to tie the sheet to a fixed object. The first floor CQ brought him back upstairs. He looked like hell but he lived.
Thank God. I don't think I could have stood someone killing their self over the Zoo.
Even with all the Jack offs and Assholes it wasn't really that strenuous to work there. For crying out loud, it was the Army!

I was at Rivers Barracks in 1973 2/92FA, Charlie Battery. Our M110 carried the tube name Crystal Balls. Would love to hook up again with the following folks. Steve Rice, Sacramento California, Tommy Wright, Nashville Tennessee, and Danny Farris, Beaverton Oregon. Our Battery Captain was Captain Cardinal, who was one of the most awesome officers I had the privilege to serve with. Any info on any of these people would be appreciated. My apology for those fellow soldiers in my unit I do not remember.
